Dancing with Aussie stars
The Trafalgar Centre will host all ages and levels of dancers at Nelson DanceSport's championships this weekend, but it's the coup of attracting Australian dance champion and two-time Dancing With the Stars winner Stefano Olivieri and partner Natalie Beck that has organisers particularly excited. DanceSport Nelson president Sandra Maxfield says attracting the top couple would be a special treat for Nelson audiences. "He's very entertaining and we're looking forward to a fantastic show," she says. "Stefano loves coming to Nelson."

Motu Trails, the fourth Great Ride due to be completed under Nga Haerenga, The New Zealand Cycle Trail will be officially opened at Memorial Park Reserve, Opotiki on Sunday 11MAR.
The Motu Trails consist of four cycle networks, boasting views of the Pacific and the greater Eastern Bay of Plenty, plus bush-clad country with plenty of native birdlife and the scenic Pakihi Stream with 22 bridges including a 36m swing-bridge.

The Auckland episode – one of two filmed in New Zealand in 2011 – won the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Reality Programmes category over shows like Master Chef, Fear Factor and The Amazing Race. ATEED supported Tourism New Zealand to host the contestants and crew from this high profile TV show in Auckland in 2011. Promoted in the US as ‘can’t miss’ episode, an audience of 7.2 million viewers tuned in to see the final nine contestants hit the ground running with a sprint up the Sky Tower and take a SkyJump. They also sailed an America’s Cup yacht and did workouts in the
Auckland Domain and on North Head. There was also a triathlon at Bethells Beach on Auckland’s west coast, with the winning pair enjoying a helicopter flight and vineyard lunch on Waiheke Island.
