"We had a fantastic time in Invercargill and Pegasus definitely played a part in that. The young lady Rachel whom we dealt with was excellent right from the get go, vehicle was very good, ran beautifully and great value for money. Will definitely be hiring with Pegasus again!"

Ink Mathematics and Cult Disney
Date number three on The Southern Discomfort Tour brings Ink Mathematics and Cult Disney back to Invercargill, to where most of the band members grew up to become the men (and woman) they are today.
Coming together in Dunedin, Ink Mathematics is a band made up of veterans, first-timers and frustrated sociopaths. The band has been playing gigs all over Otago and Southland ranging from shows in their locals to popular music festivals. Their debut EP ‘Boredom, You Conqueror’ was released in September 2011 and now they have returned, renewed with the life of a newly permanent Saxophonist. Legendarily referred to by Made In China frontman, Sam McKean, as his “new favourite band”, they continue to bust out the mind-blowing and brain-scrambling tunes they are known for.
The truly stunning three-piece that is Cult Disney take all that is beautiful and good about fairy tales and distort the heck out of it. Known for their powers of dark dance, electric pop, riftastic goodness and smooth saucy lyrics, they will knock you out with performances from their recently released EP ‘Post-Industrial Dance Music of the Late Nineteen Eighties’.
Sans Souci: La Vie, L'amour - Southland Festival of the Arts
Back by popular demand!
In a delightful hour of song, playful arrangements and repartee, Sans Souci pay tribute to legendary French chanteuse Edith Piaf.
Featuring the evocative vocals of Rachel France, and the stomping guitar playing of Tom Callwood (last seen in Invercargill performing with the Phoenix Foundation), the performance emulates the love, loss, passion and dramatic delivery that Piaf was famous for. However, the repertoire extends globally, sweeping audiences from France to Spain to the vast Mexican plains.
France introduces each song in English, giving the audience an insight into their sentiments and stories. While profound and poignant, the arrangements are up-beat, with an almost circus-like playfulness. Piano accordion, guitar, glockenspiel and quirky percussion add up to a vivacious, entertaining show.
Come along, encore, and be transported to the streets of Paris.
Tickets are available from the Invercargill i-SITE, Southland Museum Building
At the Sunday concert, mums and grannies come for free, with another paying adult. Come celebrate Mothers' Day with Sans Souci
Menopause the Musical
See what millions of women worldwide have been laughing about for over 10 years! Since 2001, women of all ages have had their spirits lifted by the show’s light-hearted look at menopause.
This joyful musical parody set to classic tunes from the '60s, '70s and '80s (where My Guy becomes My Thighs, The Lion Sleeps Tonight becomes My Husband Sleeps Tonight and Lookin’ For Love becomes Lookin’ For Food) will have the audience cheering and dancing down the aisles. Menopause The Musical® - In Concert gives the audience a more up close and personal experience with the cast, bringing a refreshed look at 'The Change'.
Menopause The Musical® - In Concert crystallises all of the magic, the entire script, songs, laughter and tears of the original stage show, slips it into a cocktail dress, and pours it into an evening of fun and elegance in equal measure.
Imagine if Marlene Dietrich came from Dubbo, had borrowed Mae West’s sense of humour, and decided to share her experience of ‘The Change’ in Rick’s Cafe (Casablanca). If you can, you are close to the collusion of stylish cabaret, comedy, and musical genius that is Menopause The Musical® - In Concert.
Menopause The Musical® has entertained audiences in more than 15 countries and nearly 300 international cities. Across Australia, Menopause The Musical® has toured for 132 weeks during 2008 – 2011, breaking box office records and continues in 2012 as Menopause The Musical® - In Concert to capital city, metropolitan and regional theatre venues.
Smash Hits 70’s:The Hits of the New Seekers and Paper Lace
Get ready to sing along. Some of the most iconic 70’s songs of all time will be performed “live” across New Zealand this April and May by the singers who made them famous so many years ago: The New Seekers’ Eve Graham and Paper Lace’s Philip Wright.
Eve Graham’s remarkable vocal talents have been adored by fans for more than four decades, and the Scottish-born star’s musical journey has seen her perform around the world and on a variety of stages: from American Bandstand and the Sonny and Cher Show, to The Two Ronnies and Morecambe and Wise.
In a career that produced a string of memorable hits, such as Look What They’ve Done To My Song, Ma; Nickel Song; Circles; Never Ending Song Of Love and Beg, Steal or Borrow, Eve is probably best remembered for her performance of I’d Like To Teach The World To Sing, the famous soundtrack to Coca-Cola’s ‘Hilltop’ commercial – the company’s most successful campaign in its history.
Forty years after the release of that track, Eve is back and touring an honour roll of wonderful songs that have lost not an ounce of their original and broad appeal.
Joining Eve on the New Zealand tour will be Philip Wright and Paper Lace, whose memorable compositions such as Billy Don’t Be A Hero; Hitchin’ A Ride and The Black Eyed Boys led them to 70’s superstardom and sold millions of copies around the world.
The classic The Night Chicago Died reached number one in the American Charts, achieving platinum sales and winning the title of largest selling single worldwide in 1974.
After re-releasing two magical albums in 2010, vocalist Philip Wright and original bassist Cliff Fish have joined forces with Phil Hendricks and Paul Robinson to recreate the authentic live sound of Paper Lace for the Smash Hit’s 70’s New Zealand tour.
This is the chance for New Zealand fans to savour that unmistakable 70’s sound of two genuine stars of the era, singing the hits you remember, and sounding like you remember, at a venue near you. It’s a show not to be missed – the Greatest Hits of The New Seekers and Paper Lace “live”.
The 12 date national Tour commences in Hamilton at Founders Theatre on Saturday 28 April and visits Auckland, Tauranga, Rotorua, Hastings, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Wellington, Greymouth, Christchurch and Dunedin, concluding in Invercargill at the Civic Theatre on Saturday 12 May.
Tickets go on sale to the public on Tuesday 07 February. For full event and ticketing information see www.stetsongroup.com or www.thecoast.net.nz.Holden V8 Hot Laps
